Synopsis

Indonesia hides some of the most beautiful orchids in the worlds. Many people have tried to unravel those orchids and discover their true beauty. During the last few decades, many new species have been discovered, along with the information about their economic values and utilizations. This has made orchids even more popular among many people, as well as researchers. This book serves as a catalogue that details the most recent information about the Bogor Botanic Gardens' orchids, including the number of genera and species maintained in the collection and their origins. The catalogue provides orchids' identifications, as well as data concerning their distribution as a basis for further study. Close-up photographs of the flowers are also provided as a helpful addition for identification. This catalogue will be resourceful for orchid enthusiasts, researchers and visitors to the Gardens.
