Tota Timui, Ritual pembersihan diri Dayak Benuaq

Synopsis

Tota Timui merupakan kepercayaan masyarakat Dayak Benuaq yang mengharuskan setiap bayi baru lahir untuk melalui ritual pembersihan diri. Ritual ini bertujuan memohon perlindungan leluhur dan roh siabat (sahabat) agar terhindar dari bala/hal-hal yang tidak dinginkan. Ritual ini melibatkan orang tua, sang bayi, dan kearifan lokal kepercayaan serta tatanan sosial masyarakat Dayak Benuaq.
