Synopsis
Mengkong hujan adalah ritual budaya masyarakat Desa Bojongkoneng, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, yang bertujuan mengalihkan hujan saat panen padi atau cengkeh. Ritual ini melibatkan persiapan sesajen, doa, penancapan lidi, dan penyerahan ritual ke generasi penerus. Upaya ini menjadi bentuk ikhtiar menjaga kualitas hasil panen tanpa bermaksud menentang kehendak Tuhan.
Mengkong rain is a cultural ritual of the Bojongkoneng Village community, West Bandung Regency, aimed at diverting rain during the rice or clove harvest. The ritual involves preparing offerings, prayers, sticking sticks, and handing over the ritual to the future generation. This effort is a form of endeavor to maintain the quality of the harvest without intending to defy God's will.
