Selasih, penulis perempuan Indonesia pertama yang karyanya diterbitkan Balai Pustaka, menghadapi tantangan besar di masa kolonial hingga setelah kemerdekaan. Melalui sastra, ia menggambarkan realitas perempuan dalam cengkeraman adat dan kolonialisme. Karyanya memberikan kontribusi penting bagi perjuangan hak asasi dan keadilan di Indonesia.
Selasih, the first Indonesian woman writer to have her work published by Balai Pustaka, faced great challenges during the colonial period until after independence. Through literature, she portrayed the reality of women in the grip of custom and colonialism. Her work contributed to the fight for human rights and justice in Indonesia.
