Synopsis
Tradisi kuliner orang Rote mencerminkan kearifan lokal melalui makanan seperti gula air dari nira lontar. Gula air melambangkan kasih sayang orang tua yang penuh pengorbanan. Namun, jumlah pengiris nira kini menurun, menghadapi risiko besar, termasuk ancaman kematian saat memanjat lontar.
The Rote people's culinary traditions reflect local wisdom through foods such as water sugar from palm sap, which symbolizes sacrificial parental love. However, the number of sap slicers is now decreasing, and they face great risks, including the threat of death, when climbing palm trees.
