Synopsis

Kabupaten Boyolali merupakan salah satu lumbung pangan utama di Jawa Tengah berkat kondisi geografis yang mendukung dan tanah yang subur. Namun, sektor pertanian daerah ini menghadapi tantangan serius berupa krisis regenerasi petani. Minat generasi muda untuk terjun ke bidang pertanian terus menurun, sehingga mayoritas petani kini didominasi oleh kelompok usia lanjut. Kondisi ini berpotensi menyebabkan penurunan jumlah petani aktif dan penyusutan lahan produktif karena ketiadaan penerus. Jika tidak diantisipasi, keberlanjutan sektor pertanian Boyolali sebagai penopang ketahanan pangan regional dapat terancam.

Boyolali Regency is one of the main food-producing regions in Central Java, supported by favorable geographic conditions and fertile soil. However, its agricultural sector is facing a serious challenge in the form of a farmer regeneration crisis. Interested among younger generations to enter the agricultural field continues to decline, resulting in the majority of farmers now being dominated by older age groups. This situation risks reducing the number of active farmers and shrinking productive farmland due to the lack of successors. If not addressed, the sustainability of Boyolali's agricultural sector could be threatened.
