Penduduk lokal di Maumere telah lama membuat moke, minuman alkohol tradisional dari nira pohon lontar. Proses pembuatan moke memerlukan keterampilan khusus dan mempunyai banyak risiko, termasuk kematian.
The local residents of Maumere have been producing moke, a traditional alcoholic beverage made from the sap of the lontar palm tree, for a long time. The process of making moke requires special skills and involve many risks, including the risk of death.
