Pendidikan merupakan media utama untuk meningkatkan kemampuan sumber daya manusia. Kemajuan suatu bangsa dapat dicapai bila didukung dengan sumber daya manusia yang mumpuni. Sumber daya manusia yang mumpuni hanya dapat dilahirkan melalui proses pendidikan yang bermutu, dan pendidikan yang bermutu hanya dapat dicapai secara maksimal bila setiap satuan pendidikan dapat melaksanakan proses pendidikan yang bermutu. Proses pembelajaran dan pembimbingan dapat dilaksanakan secara bermutu bila didukung dengan manajemen pendidikan yang efektif.
Buku ini membantu Anda untuk memahami dan menuntun ke arah keterampilan manajemen pendidikan, teknik manajemen pendidikan, standar nasional pendidikan, akreditasi sekolah, pengertian, tujuan, dampak, dan praktik manajemen berbasis sekolah (MBS), komponen MBS, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengawasan dan evaluasi MBS, kepemimpinan dalam MBS, peran serta masyarakat dalam MBS, dan akuntabilitas MBS.
