Negara, Pembangunan, dan ‘Nasionalisme’ Orang Papua yang Bertumbuh Elite Politik dan Generasi Muda

Buku ini menelusuri kelahiran, perkembangan, dan transformasi nasionalisme Papua dari 1960-an hingga era Otonomi Khusus (OTSUS) saat ini. Melalui pendekatan sosio-historis dan antropologi politik, buku ini mengungkap paradoks OTSUS yang justru memperkuat gaung “Papua Merdeka” alih-alih meredamnya. Infrastruktur negara—baik pendidikan, bahasa, maupun pemerintahan—secara tak terduga berkontribusi menyatukan masyarakat Papua dalam identitas bersama yang berbeda dari nasionalisme Indonesia. Di tengah trauma sejarah, diskriminasi, konflik, dan ketidakadilan ekonomi, nasionalisme Papua terus tumbuh, bahkan menjadi pilihan rasional generasi muda. Berdasarkan penelitian lapangan panjang sejak 2016, buku ini menghadirkan analisis mendalam tentang akar konflik Papua, dinamika elit politik, serta alasan mengapa OTSUS gagal memadamkan semangat separatisme.
