Usaha kopi di Desa Cupunagara sedang dikembangkan oleh Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Subang. Telah banyak intervensi dari pemerintah daerah maupun pemerintah pusat untuk meningkatkan daya saing melalui perluasan pasar. Namun baru satu kopi yang dapat menembus pasar ekspor. Ada faktor-faktor yang menjadi pembeda antar UKM kopi dilihat dari rantai nilai inovasi, baik dalam penentuan ide inovasi, proses konversi ide dan penyebaran ide. Bagaimana mendorong peningkatan inovasi iptek pada usaha kopi di Subang? Apa yang dapat dilakukan Pemerintah daerah dalam mendorong dan pengembangkan usaha kopi yang berdayasaing? Buku ini mencoba menelusur jejak aktivitas inovasi yang dilakukan oleh dua kelompok usaha kopi di Desa Cupunagara Kabupaten Subang. Melalui pendekatan Rantai Nilai Inovasi diperoleh gambaran bahwa inovasi merupakan sesuatu yang melekat, bergerak bersama dengan pentingnya pemanfaatan teknologi di dalam menindakan langkah-langkah strategis untuk mendorong produk yang dihasilkan memiliki nilai tambah yang dapat diterima pasar. Semoga buku ini dapat menjadi penerang sekaligus pegangan bagi para pemangku kepentingan khususnya pemerintah daerah dalam mengembangkan kopi dan pelaku usahanya mulai dari hulu sampai hilir.
