Kata nuklir bagi sebagian orang sangatlah erat dengan hal-hal yang sangat membahayakan. Artinya, masih banyak orang yang belum memahami bagaimana teknologi nuklir dapat bermanfaat bagi kehidupan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Padahal, teknologi nuklir dapat diterapkan dengan risiko minimal jika safety, security, dan safeguards (keamanan, keselamatan, dan garda aman) dijalankan dengan baik.
Oleh karena itu, buku Memperkuat Keamanan Nuklir Untuk Meningkatkan Pemanfaatan Iptek Nuklir bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran terkait keselamatan serta keamanan nuklir. Pemanfaatan nuklir serta berbagai aspek penerapannya termasuk forensik nuklir, sistem manajemen nuklir dan ancaman orang dalam dibahas secara lengkap di buku ini. Belum banyak buku yang membahas secara spesifik mengenai penerapan keamanan teknologi nuklir, khususnya di fasilitas nuklir yang ada di Indonesia.
Buku ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber referensi bagi peneliti atau akademisi untuk pembelajaran terkait berbagai aspek keamanan nuklir.
